What does the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics do?
Dietitians can support you to eat and drink well if you have a diagnosis of cancer. Good nutrition can help you remain healthy and strong during cancer treatment, improves your quality of life, and combats treatment side effects and illness. Dietitians can assess what nutrition advice you need at each stage of your care. This may include making the most of what you are eating, supporting you with your weight and strength, or using special nutrition if required.

Any cancer patient requiring nutritional advice due to cancer and its treatment can be referred to dietitians. You may benefit from a dietary consultation if you experience any of the following problems:
How can you be referred?
Kindly ask your doctor or nurse navigator for a referral note should you require an outpatient dietitian appointment. After you present the referral note at the reception desk within the clinical support services, you will receive an appointment letter by post that indicates the date and time of your dietitian appointment.
