How does the Outpatients at the Oncology Centre operate?
The Oncology outpatients caters for all adult and paediatric patients having cancer i.e. haematology and oncology. A team of healthcare staff professionals will look after you while visiting the Oncology outpatients.
Haematology and Oncology Appointments
New Case appointments: New cases dates are issued by consultants once referral is received.
Follow-up appointments: The follow-up appointments are arranged at the outpatients reception on the day of appointment and a printout is provided or sent via e-mail/text message.
Paediatric/Adoloscent Appointments
New Case appointments: New Cases are seen at the Paediatric/Adolescent Ward by the Paediatric Oncologist.
Follow-up appointments: The outpatients at the Oncology Centre only receives paediatric/oncology patients for follow up appointments.
What should I bring with me for my appointment?
You should bring the following for your appointment:
Accompanying relatives
It is advised that only one relative accompanies you to your appointment.
Other relevant information
It is important that patients respect the time on the appointment letter. Whilst we aim that all patients are seen on time, you need to understand that due to unforeseen circumstances, you may need to wait for some time before being attended to.
Cancellation of Appointment
Should an appointment require cancellation, patients and/or relatives should kindly call on 2545 7000 as soon as possible so that an alternative appointment can be arranged
