Many patients receiving cancer treatment may have a weakened immune system. To help protect patients, visitors should:

• Clean their hands when entering and leaving SAMOC and clinical areas.
• Not visit if they are feeling unwell or have symptoms such as a cough, cold, fever, vomiting or diarrhoea.
• Follow any additional infection control instructions provided by staff.
• Avoid bringing fresh flowers, potted plants or pets into the hospital.

Visiting arrangements may be temporarily restricted when necessary to protect patients and staff from infection.
